Parents As Partners

The PATHS and the HOPE programs recognize that parents play an important role in the SAP team process. Parents are valued and are invited to be part of a team effort to support their child.

Parent involvement in the team process my include:

• Identifying indicators of behaviors that appear to effect their child's education
• Understanding why the team has a concern.
• Acknowledging parents rights and the rights of their children.
• Providing helpful insight.
• Sharing supports services the school and/or community resources can offer.

All information gathered/discussed as part of the SAP program is kept strictly confidential
