"If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant."
- Anne Bradstreet
Students at New Hope-Solebury Lower Elementary School have donated $3,102.21 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts in Haiti. During the week of January 25th, children in kindergarten, first, and second grades were asked to do extra chores around their homes. They tackled such jobs as making beds, cleaning out closets, and helping to care for younger siblings. Parents acknowledged each completed chore with a small contribution to the Red Cross. Over the week, those small contributions made a big impact – the students raised money for a good cause and learned valuable lessons about working hard to help those in need. This was a great life lesson that was learned and we are so proud of tomorrow’s leaders!
