What have you used with your students this year?

(See Mr. Smith to collaborate on a project using any of these technologies...

or let me know what you have in mind, and we’ll try something off the list.)

Project and Presentation Options Using Technology

  1. BulletAudacity - Sound Editor, Create audio projects, or add an audio component to an existing project

  1. BulletGarageBand - Sound Editor, Create audio projects, or add an audio component to an existing project, also add images (Mac Based)

  1. BulletGlogster- Online interactive posters- Video, sound and hyperlinks can be added too.

  1. BulletiMovie- Video editing software (Mac Based)

  1. BulletInspiration - Students create idea webs and visual maps. Often used as a prewrite, but can also be a project in itself... ie. Bill to a Law

  1. BulletMovieMaker- Windows video editing software

  1. BulletPhotoStory 3- Quick and slideshows that can include text and voiceover components.

  1. BulletPowerPoint- Think outside of the linear progression that PowerPoint presentations typically have. See our students virtual museums to get an idea of the power that PowerPoint actually has.

  1. BulletPrezi- Think of Glogster meets Inspiration. Create presentations that zoom in and around a map to present your work.

  1. BulletPublisher- Nothing new here, but if you want to produce a brochure or menu, it’s still the best thing going.

  1. BulletSmartNotebook- Why not have the students create SmartNotebook projects that use the templates, galleries, linking, and multimedia capabilities found in the SmartNotebook software?

  1. BulletWordle- Online tool for creating art with words. Type in the words you want displayed, or copy and paste from a text as a preread or warmup before a lesson.
