  • Dear UES Families and Students,

    I am beyond humbled and excited to serve as the principal of New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School. In my 15 years in education, a large body of my work has focused on innovative teaching practices, equity and inclusion, data-driven decision making, preparing students to be college and career ready, and community relationships. I have always viewed my relationships with children and colleagues as an extended family. It was very evident to me in my research of the district and throughout the interview process that New Hope-Solebury shares these same passions and beliefs.

    My career began in the Upper Dublin School District in 2006. During my tenure in Upper Dublin I served as a kindergarten teacher, 4th grade teacher, 5th grade teacher, Math Coordinator, Instructional Coach, and Summer Scholar/Extended School Year Principal. For the last three years, I was fortunate enough to be given the role of assistant principal at Butler Elementary in Central Bucks School District. Last year, I was given the opportunity to lead the Central Bucks Virtual Academy and support a large portion of the community through a very challenging school year.

    I believe all children are born with an innate curiosity to understand the world around them. My motivation as an educator is to find ways to nurture their curiosity into a passion for life-long learning. I am excited to join the New Hope-Solebury School District for many reasons. My educational philosophy aligns perfectly with the District mission statement which aims to instill passion, character, empathy, and creativity into every one of our students. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to work with the amazing educators in the Upper Elementary School and carry on the high standard of educational excellence in the New Hope-Solebury School District.
