Naviance is a web based software program that offers a number of features that will help you make career and college plans. Organized by tabs (Courses, Colleges, Careers, and About me), Naviance is a wonderful planning and organization tool for the college process.
    Research Colleges

You may look up colleges  by name or search for colleges based on selected criteria. Colleges have reported information ( FISKE GUIDE) pertaining to campus culture/virtual tours, webpage links, average standardized tests scores, number of applicants, school size, % accepted students as well as recommended and required high school courses to name a few. You may also compare GPA, standardized test scores, and other statistics to actual historical data from our school for students who have applied and been admitted in the past. You can use Naviance to maintain a list of colleges that you're considering. That list is also available to your counselor.
This site is also used to process transcript requests during the college application process which occurs in the fall of senior year.
    Research Careers

Explore different careers you are interested in learning more about.  If you are undecided you may  take a personality survey to determine your interests and strengths lie in regards to possible career and majors.
    Research Scholarships

Naviance lists many scholarship opportunities that include direct links to the scholarship website.
    Research Summer and Enrichment Programs
Search and find enrichment and summer programs that you are interested in attending, whether it is academic, community service or activity based.  This is located under the “Colleges” tab and then under the “College Research” section.  Click on the option for Enrichment Programs
    Organize Your College Application Process
Build a resume, complete on-line surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.
    Sign-up for College Visits
Find out which colleges are visiting our school and sign up to attend those sessions.  Signing up will serve as your pass to be excused from class.  You must sign up before 3 pm the school day before the scheduled college visit.
Students can review academic and admission data for colleges across the United States; they can gauge their chances for acceptance by comparing their own GPA/ACT/SAT statistics with those of recent applicants by using the Scattergram component of Naviance under the college tab.
