Health News: DARE for Second Grade
Great Kindness Week: Last Days! January 23-27 will be Kindness Week at the LES! Please check out the ways to participate through our food drive and spirit days.
Read Across America: This year we invite our elementary students to participate in the LES/UES Read Across America Book Swap! Students may donate at least one gently-used children's book from their home library. They will have the opportunity to browse the collected books and choose one to bring home to keep. The remaining books will be available for classroom libraries and local charities. Please send in books by Feb. 21. Thank you for your participation!
Car pick up and drop off: Do not enter the car line in the afternoon until 3:05. The gate is locked and our early arrivers are blocking Sugan Road and our school entrance. Car pick up runs from 3:25-3:40 on the side of the building.
Morning car drop off is in the same place from 8:25-8:45. Please remember to stay in your car.
Dismissal Changes: Please call or email the office by 12:00PM if your child's dismissal is different from routine.
From the Health Office: Please click here if your child requires a medication during the school day. Please click here (Student Handbook, pages 19-23) if your child is coming to school with a wrap, cast, crutches or any other injury. Thank you!
Lacrosse Clinics: Our Girls Lacrosse Team will host clinics for aspiring players of all ages this January. Proceeds support the team. No pre-registration is required.
Laptops: Please remember to charge your laptop every night so your device in ready to bring in the next day.

Unified Bocce: All are encouraged to come cheer for our Lions’ Unified Bocce team as they compete in their first home competitions on January 23 and January 30 in the HS Gym. Unified Sports, sponsored by Special Olympics, enable students with developmental and intellectual disabilities to compete alongside their regular education peers. Go Lions!
LES Dance: This year’s LES Dance will be held Friday, March 3 in the LES Gym from 6-7:30pm. The theme is 70’s Spring Fever and we are gearing up for a fun evening presented by the HSA. More information to come, but please email email@example.com with any questions or to volunteer.
Giant Round up at the Register: Giant Food Stores has opened their Round up at the Register program again this year to support food service programs in local public schools. Last year, our district received nearly $14,000 through this program. Round up the register when you shop now through February 28.
Stadium Bricks: We have opened brick donations for our future NHSD Stadium! With a tax-deductible donation of $500, you will have a permanent message displayed to recognize a student, family, teacher, coach, team, or community member.
