Dear Lower Elementary School Families,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! Our LES staff is so excited to welcome your children back for another wonderful year! We can’t wait for our halls to be once again filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as the first day of school quickly approaches!
I am eager to begin my second year with your children, the amazing staff at the LES, and all of our community members. We have exciting new adventures planed for our #LittlestLions! We are getting ready to explore Project-Based Learning, we will delve further into technology integration in the classroom, and explore what it means to “live like a writer” through the use of a Writer’s Notebook. In addition to planning the roll-out of these initiatives, I have also worked with our safety team to finalize our school’s safety plans as it relates to our ALICE evacuation drills. More information will come out about this in the fall and I am proud to say our staff has been trained and certified in the ALICE response method to emergencies.
As always, I value your partnership in the education of your child(ren) both academically and socially. Should you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 215.297.5438 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t forget that we are on Twitter! You can get a glimpse into your child’s school day and all the happenings at the LES by following us @NHS_LES.
I look forward to working with each of you again this year and to inviting your child back to the Lower Elementary School, which remains a special place to learn and grow.
