Welcome to New Hope-Solebury School District Board of School Directors
The Board is a legislative body whose authority is defined by the Pennsylvania School Code. The New Hope-Solebury School Board’s function is to provide oversight to insure a thorough and efficient education for the children of its district and to develop policies to support meeting this objective.
School directors, although locally elected, are in essence state officials designated by school law to oversee the administration of the school system in each district of the Commonwealth.
The Superintendent is selected by the School Board to administer the operation of the schools in accordance with Board policies. The Superintendent, a non-voting member of the Board, is both educational advisor to the School Board and chief administrator of the School District.
