School Announcements

Important! Car pick up and drop off:  When dropping off and picking up, PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR.
Do not enter the car line in the afternoon until 3:05. The gate is locked and our early arrivers block Sugan Road and our school entrance. Car pick up runs from 3:25-3:40 on the side of the building. Morning car drop off is from 8:25-8:44. 

Early Dismissal: Our students are dismissed at noon on March 31.

Spring Break runs from Monday, April 3 through Monday, April 10. Students return on April 11

Dismissal Changes: You must send in a note if your child is staying after for a club or going home a different way. Please call or email the office by 12:00PM if your child's dismissal is different from routine. 

Night of the Arts: Save the date for our annual Night of the Arts! Volunteers are needed so please check out the flyer and help if you are able.

St. Baldricks! Join us on May 13th for our biggest pediatric cancer fundraiser of the year! You can participate by shaving your head, donating 8" of hair, or just showing up at the UES on May 13th from 10-4 for a day of fun! REMINDERS

Dismissal Changes: Please call or email the office by 12:00PM if your child's dismissal is different from routine. 

Weather Reminder: Please check the temperature in the morning to make sure your child is properly dressed for the weather. Students go outside for recess 2-3 times throughout the day. Additionally, labeling all outerwear that comes to school will help us return misplaced items to students.

From the Health Office:  Click here if your child requires a medication during the school day. Please click here (Student Handbook, pages 19-23) if your child is coming to school with a wrap, cast, crutches or any other injury. Thank you!
 
Laptops:  Remember to charge your laptop every night so your device is ready to bring in the next day.

The Solebury Historical Association is looking for a volunteer to lead the first grade schoolhouse visit next school year in the fall. This is a rewarding opportunity without a large time commitment.  For more information please email nhshsa.events@gmail.com

St. Baldrick’s Community Fundraiser:  Mark your calendars for the NHS community St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser on Saturday, May 13 at the UES from 10AM-4PM.  Proceeds benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation for pediatric cancer research. Adults and kids can participate by shaving your head or by donating 8" of your own hair.  There will also be games, raffles, and food trucks for a day of fun for the whole family. The day also includes the Robert Nagg Memorial Soccer Games on the NHS Stadium Field starting at 3:30PM.

PTF Clothing Drive: The HS Parent Teacher Forum will host their annual Clothing Fundraiser March 28-29 for gently-used clothing and household items, including blankets, tablecloths, handbags and more. Clean out and organize your closets while supporting the PTF!

HSA Magic Show: Save the date! The HSA and NHS Education Fund will be hosting a STEAM-themed magic show with Mario the Magician and pizza lunch on Saturday, May 20 in the High School Theater.

HS Symphony Orchestra Concert: All are invited to join us in the Buck Theater on Tuesday, April 18 at 7PM to enjoy chamberworks from Paris and Vienna performed by our HS Symphony Orchestra.
 
Special Education Family Forum: All parents/guardians are invited to participate in our Special Education Family Forum exploring Mental Health Resources with the Cook Center for Human Connection on Wednesday, March 29 at 10AM. The meeting will be held in-person in the District Office Conference Room or via Zoom.
