    Device Insurance:
Families may opt to purchase an accidental insurance plan for district-issued devices at the cost of $50 for the school year via the Beginning of Year Forms in the Sapphire Community Portal now through September 30.

    LionFest Volunteers Needed:
The HSA is looking for volunteers to chaperone the LionFest Pep Rally on Friday, October 20. At the pep rally, the volunteers will ride the buses with students from the LES to the NHS Stadium Field, help supervise the students, escort them for bathroom breaks, etc.  Volunteers must have up-to-date clearances if volunteering for this event. To sign-up to volunteer, click here: Sign-Up for Lionsfest pep rally volunteers.

Title I Fall Parent Meeting: If your child is being recommended for the Title I Reading Program (grades K-2), you will receive a letter and permission form, along with an invitation to the fall parent meeting, which is being held via zoom on Wednesday, October 11, at 6:00PM. This is new for Kindergarten as Title services are now beginning for them in Oct. rather than Feb. as in years past.

Start of School Checklist: Please reference this helpful Start of School Checklist to assist you with ensuring you have fulfilled all requirements for your child(ren)’s school year. The document includes live links you will need to complete each item on the list.
Mental Health Night: Our district will host a virtual Mental Health Night in partnership with the Cook Center for Human Connection on Wednesday, September 27 at 7:00PM via Zoom. Anyone may join anonymously to learn parenting strategies that support mental health and the resources available from our district.

Support our Home and School Association: We encourage all families to get involved and follow the programs provided by our amazing HSA! Ways you can help: Participate in their meetings and events, join their Facebook group, sign-up to volunteer for their events, or donate to support their programs.

Education Fund Barn Event: Join us on Saturday, September 23 for our Celebration at the Barn Event, a fun evening with great food and live music to support the NHS Education Fund, a non-profit organization that helps to fund extraordinary learning experiences for New Hope-Solebury students. Learn more about sponsorship opportunities and reserve tickets at www.nhsedfund.org. This event is expected to sell-out!
Get to Know our Literacy Program K-5: We will host opportunities for families to better understand our literacy curriculum, including our brand-new ARC Core program, and to learn strategies to better support your child’s literary development at home. Learn more about our first session coming up on Tuesday, September 19 and future events via this informational flyer.

Laptops:  Please charge your laptop every night so your device is ready to bring in the next day.

Important! Car pick up and drop off:  When dropping off and picking up through the car line, PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR. Do not come to the school in the afternoon for car pick up until 3:05. The gate is locked and our early arrivers block Sugan Road and our school entrance. Car pick up runs from 3:25-3:40 on the side of the building. Morning car drop off is from 8:25-8:44.

Dismissal Changes: You must send in a note if your child is staying after for a club or going home a different way. Please call or email the office by 12:00PM if your child's dismissal is different from routine.

Free Breakfast: A reminder that all students are able to receive free breakfast in our cafeterias each morning. Children can enjoy a breakfast sandwich, whole-grain muffins, fresh fruit, a choice of milk and juice, and more—a great way to start the day. View the menus at www.nhsd.org/menus.
