NH-S Middle Wins Vex Robotics State Championship

New Hope-Solebury Middle School Robotics Team, PA State State Champs Champions!

The NH-S Middle School Robotics program took a giant step in its third year of competition. The top 36 Pennsylvania (East) robotics teams competed on Saturday, February 29th to see who would represent our state in the Vex Robotics World Championship taking place in Kentucky this spring. Three of our NH-S Middle School teams qualified to compete in the State Final.

Team 18938C (seventh grade) and Team 18938D (sixth grade) formed an alliance powering through the elimination rounds. They eliminated some pretty impressive teams, including the number one seed of the tournament! When the tournament reached the semi-finals, with just four alliances left standing, our eighth grade team, 18938A, managed to defeat their talented young schoolmates!

18938A then moved into the final best-of-three round against the number two seeded opponent. The New Hope-Solebury eighth grade team then put on a skillful and strategic display, defeating their competitors with back-to-back wins, earning New Hope-Solebury its first state title in competitive robotics!
