Our K–2 students are celebrating the 2026 Winter Olympic Games—LES style! Through fun, active lessons, students have been “traveling the world” without leaving the gym as they learn about Olympic history, geography, and values.
Students explored the host cities of Milano and Cortina in Italy, learned about the origins of the Olympic Games in Greece, and followed the journey of the Olympic Torch Relay. Along the way, they discussed important Olympic values such as grit, dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
In PE class, students participated in a variety of hands-on Olympic-inspired activities, including an Opening Ceremony procession, torch relay, speed skating, curling, ski jumping, snowboarding, and bobsledding.
These engaging lessons promote movement, teamwork, and global awareness—while helping students build a lifelong love for physical activity.
Way to go Littlest Lions Olympians!
