Second grade students at LES recently enjoyed a special visit from children’s author Tim Gilbert. During his time with students, he shared the inspiration behind his newest book, Salty the Seagull, and offered a behind-the-scenes look at the writing process.
Mr. Gilbert spoke with students about creativity, storytelling, and how a simple idea can grow into a published book. The visit sparked curiosity and excitement as students asked questions and learned more about what it takes to become an author.
The experience was a wonderful way to celebrate reading, writing, and imagination, making the library an even more inspiring place for our young learners.
