New Hope-Solebury Middle School

A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Dina Lichtman-Smith for sharing her family's powerful story and experiences during the Holocaust with our Middle School Lions last week. Born in a displaced persons camp in Bergen-Belsen, Dr. Lichtman-Smith's narrative was marked by both tragedy and triumph as she recounted her parents' journey to survive concentration camps during one of the darkest times in history. She also shared her parents' perseverance and hope in seeking a better life in America after the war. We were honored and humbled by her story and wish her well as she serves as a speaker at the 80th commemoration of the liberation of Bergen-Belsen in Germany next month+
