8th Grade Math Classroom - new furniture

As part of our commitment to creating flexible, future-ready learning environments, the district invested in new furniture for the Middle and High schools. The previous classroom setup—rows of sled desks and aging furniture—limited collaboration, adaptability, and innovative instructional practices.

To ensure the new furniture met both current and long-term needs, the district engaged in a thoughtful selection process which took nearly two years and was spearheaded by one of our high school teachers, Mr. Kevin Nord.

This pilot period included gathering input from faculty and students, visiting model classrooms in other districts, and testing sample pieces to evaluate functionality, comfort, and durability. The result is a modern, flexible furniture system that allows spaces to be easily reconfigured for group work, individual study, and hands-on projects.

High school student Grace Harm took to the halls to get first hand feedback on how the new furniture is 'sitting' with students. Check out the reviews here.

This investment not only addresses the immediate need for updated furniture but also supports the broader vision of equipping our schools with environments that inspire collaboration, creativity, and student engagement.
