The Middle School recently gathered for the annual Blue/Gold Kick Off Assembly, a celebration of students’ positive efforts as they settle into the new school year and, of course, school spirit. The assembly also marked the completion of the School-Wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) lessons, which teachers review with students during the first two weeks of Advisory. These lessons help ensure students are prepared to interact with peers and adults respectfully and positively across all areas of the school for the school year.
As part of the assembly, Mr. Kevin Sasala and Mr. Anthony Barth announced the winners of this month’s PRIDE drawing who will enjoy a special pizza outing to Peddler’s Village later this month. Students and teachers also joined in spirited “minute-to-win-it” games, with participants taking home PRIDE-themed swag bags.
A special thank you goes to Ms. Sally Diakon and Ms. Nancy Wisniewski, who organize this fun and meaningful tradition for the Middle School community each year.
