New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School

Mrs. Kelleher's students at the UES enjoyed a recent visit with Officer Anthony Viruet Melendez from the Solebury Police Department. Officer Melendez spoke in both Spanish and English about his life and the challenges he faced as a child having to learn a second language. Offering an inspiring message, he emphasized the importance of not letting people set limits on what you can do because of the color of your skin or how you speak.
