Students at the UES have been busy this fall. Under the instruction of Mrs. Ferber, students have created layered landscapes, monster hands, explored architecture through haunted houses, and created pop-up pumpkins.
Fourth graders designed pumpkins in the style of fauvism. (Fauvism is an art movement known for its bold, vivid colors and expressive brushstrokes that prioritize emotion and imagination over realistic representation.)
Fifth graders created figures in the style of Tim Burton. (Tim Burton’s drawing style is characterized by whimsical, gothic-inspired imagery with exaggerated proportions, dark yet playful themes, and a blend of quirky charm and eerie atmosphere.) Be on the lookout for these creepy creatures!
