Female student

New Hope-Solebury High School junior Jothika Amuth has built an impressive record of leadership, service, and advocacy and was recently spotlighted in the September issue of New Hope News (see page 23).

Since kindergarten, she has been an active member of the district community, now serving as president of the Class of 2027, co-founder of the “For the Kids” Committee, parliamentarian of Future Business Leaders of America, project manager of the Environmental Club, and a member of both Key Club and the tennis team.

Her involvement extends well beyond school. Jothika is a volunteer coordinator at the Delaware Valley Food Pantry, a Youth Ambassador with the Future Assistant U.S. Attorneys program, and the founder of Beyond the Headlines, an initiative raising money for overlooked causes. She has also led efforts in environmental advocacy, from green wall installations to large-scale campus clean-ups, and contributes to the Student Advisory Board to elevate student voices on issues like mental health and bullying.

Motivated by a passion for making a tangible impact, Jothika considers her most meaningful project to be raising funds for families in Sri Lanka during the nation’s recent economic crisis.

We proudly recognize her extraordinary accomplishments and positive impact she is making locally and globally.
