Students working robot

Our Lions recently welcomed several robotics teams from across the region for an exciting and competitive VEX Robotics competition, bringing together young engineers, programmers, and innovators for a day full of challenge and creativity.

The New Hope-Solebury Lions designed, built, and coded their own robots, demonstrating the hands-on engineering, coding expertise, and critical thinking skills that define our robotics program. The event highlighted not only technical skill but also the fierce competitive spirit that drives our students to excel.

Organized and led by Mr. Ryan Sorensen, the competition offered visiting teams a chance to put their problem-solving abilities to the test while collaborating, competing, and learning in a spirited environment. From strategy and design to programming and precision operation, our Lions showcased what it means to combine intellect with teamwork on the robotics field.

The event was a true testament to the creativity, dedication, and ingenuity of our students, and it reinforced NHSD’s commitment to fostering STEAM education through hands-on experiences that prepare students for future innovation.
