New Hope-Solebury School District proudly celebrated the graduation of 104 members of the Class of 2026 during its Commencement Ceremony on June 10, marking an important milestone as students crossed the stage and officially embarked on the next chapter of their lives.

Throughout their time at New Hope-Solebury, the graduates demonstrated resilience, determination, leadership, and a commitment to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. As they leave the district, members of the Class of 2026 are prepared to pursue a wide range of opportunities, including higher education, military service, careers in the workforce, and other meaningful endeavors.

"The Class of 2026 has left an incredible mark on New Hope-Solebury through their hard work, resilience, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence," said Mr. Patrick Sasse, High School principal. "They have embraced opportunities, supported one another, and represented our school community with pride. As they begin their next chapters, we celebrate all they have accomplished and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in their colleges, careers, communities, and beyond. Once a Lion, always a Lion!" 

The district also recognized several outstanding student leaders during the ceremony. Special congratulations were extended to Valedictorian Iona Macdonald and Salutatorian Cristina Martin for their exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and dedication throughout their high school careers. Additional recognition was given to Class President Colin Foster for his leadership and service to the Class of 2026.

In addition to celebrating the graduates, the district expressed its deep appreciation for the generosity of local scholarship donors. This year, 32 donors contributed more than $135,000 in scholarships and awards, providing meaningful financial support to students as they pursue their post-secondary goals. Through these contributions, 39 members of the graduating class received scholarships and awards recognizing academic achievement, leadership, community service, perseverance, and future aspirations.

"The generosity of our scholarship donors demonstrates the strength and commitment of the New Hope-Solebury community," Dr. Charles Lentz, NHSD superintendent, noted. "Their investment in our students extends far beyond graduation day and helps empower graduates to pursue their dreams with confidence. We are grateful for all their support to help our Lions continue in their journeys beyond our walls."
