Our High School Lions kicked off the year’s Career Pathways Day series with three special guests who shared their professional experiences, offered insights into their career journeys, and helped students explore possibilities for their futures.

Students heard from Raffy Dakessian, a molecular biologist; Charles Soriano, a captain with Delta Air Lines; and Detective Kevin Larkin, who serves with the FBI Task Force and Plumstead Police Department. Representing careers in science, aviation, and law enforcement, these professionals gave students a firsthand look at a variety of career paths and the experiences that shaped their journeys.

Through these conversations, students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about different professions, and gain valuable insights into the skills, education, and experiences that can help prepare them for success beyond high school.

We are grateful to our guest speakers for sharing their time, expertise, and perspectives with our Lions. Throughout the year, Career Pathways Days help connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities, encouraging students to explore their interests and envision the many possibilities ahead!
