Our New Hope-Solebury High School Lions recently embarked on a trip of a lifetime, traveling to Japan for an immersive, week-long learning experience that brought science, engineering, technology, history, and culture to life!
Throughout their journey, students had the opportunity to explore Japan’s innovative spirit firsthand, experiencing cutting-edge technology and research while discovering the country’s rich history and cultural traditions. From seeing advancements shaping the future to exploring iconic landmarks, every stop offered a new opportunity to learn, ask questions, and make meaningful connections beyond the classroom.
The experience also included visits to some of Japan’s most recognizable destinations, including the breathtaking Mount Fuji, the towering Tokyo Skytree, and the historic Kanda Shrine. These experiences gave students a deeper appreciation for Japan’s unique blend of tradition and innovation.
More than just a trip, this international learning experience encouraged our Lions to broaden their perspectives, embrace new experiences, and see how the subjects they study connect to the world around them.
Led by Dr. Richard Curtis, Mr. Nicholas Pompei, and Mr. Patrick Sasse, this incredible experience was made possible through the support and dedication of our staff, volunteers, and students. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this trip such a success and proud of our Lions for embracing this opportunity to learn, explore, and grow. They return with new perspectives, lasting memories, and an even greater appreciation for the world and the possibilities that lie beyond our school community!
