New Hope-Solebury School District Community Members,
It is an honor to have been selected to lead the New Hope-Solebury School District as your new Superintendent and to have the opportunity to work with the many dedicated members of the school community. I am looking forward to partnering with our students, staff, families, alumni and community members to prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st century and beyond and to ensure that they have the tools necessary to become successful and contributing members of our society.
I have had the pleasure to meet many of the members of our school community through both the superintendent selection process and through several visits to the school district over the past few months. During that time, I have been impressed by the commitment and dedication of the entire school district community which is the hallmark of a quality school district.
As I join the New Hope-Solebury Community I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of my experience in the field of education. I have served the Abington School District for the past 25 years as an elementary teacher, junior high school assistant principal, elementary principal and assistant director of curriculum. Throughout those experiences my central focus was on the success of the students. I sought to foster positive relationships with students, faculty and staff, parents and guardians and community members to provide the best learning opportunities for our students.
I am looking forward to collaborating with the members of the New Hope-Solebury School District community to continue the strong educational traditions and to further embrace new initiatives and opportunities which will ensure our students will realize their potential and become the future leaders of our community. It is with great excitement I begin my service to the New Hope-Solebury School District and look forward to partnering with you in helping our students to realize their dreams.
Charles Lentz, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
Dear Community, Parents and Guardians,
As many of you know, District Office was temporarily relocated to our Upper Elementary School for just about two years. Now that the renovation of the old District Office is complete, we are moved back in and ready for business. We do have some fine tuning to do as we are upgrading some security features, so please bear with us during this transition.
We thank Dr. McKenna, his staff and students for allowing us to be guests in their building! We will miss all of the smiling faces we encountered each day during our stay.
Thank you for your patience during our renovations!
The District's wellness policy articulates guidance for wellness, nutrition education and promotion, as well as physical education, and guidelines for all food usage in our schools. The policy also contains information about allergens and safe routes to school. The intent of the policy is to ensure that the District provides opportunities for the overall wellness of all stakeholders.
