Hall of Fame Induction 2023

In June 2023, we inducted two new members of the New Hope-Solebury Hall of Fame: Mike Finley and Laurie Palau

Mike Finley

Mike Finley has dedicated nearly 35 years to the school district, leaving a lasting impact through his innovations, support for staff, and commitment to student growth. Serving in various roles, including special education faculty, girls basketball and volleyball coach, and member of the New Hope-Solebury Education Association's Executive Committee, Mr. Finley actively prepared students for life beyond graduation, contributing to the development of the APEX and BRIDGE programs. His coaching style focused on showcasing individual and team achievements, and he continues to contribute to the athletic programs by assisting with scoring and monitoring competitions.

Laurie Palau

Laurie Palau has played an invaluable role in the New Hope-Solebury School District, leading the St. Baldrick's Foundation fundraiser for pediatric cancer research since 2015. Under her direction, the communitywide fundraiser has raised over $1 million for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, becoming one of the nation's largest fundraisers for the cause. Mrs. Palau has also been a valued champion for improvements to our school district’s athletics facilities. Her guidance and experience were pivotal to realizing our stadium vision twenty years in the making. In addition to her philanthropic efforts, Mrs. Palau, the founder of Simply B Organized, has shared her organizational expertise through her podcast and engaged with students through APEX projects and career fairs, leaving a lasting impact on the school and community.
