Throughout the fall, New Hope-Solebury School District continued to set precedent, earning numerous accolades and recognitions for excellence in overall academic achievement, sportsmanship, and leadership.

Both the Upper Elementary (UES) and Middle Schools were recognized among the best in the most recent rankings by U.S. News & World Report, with Middle School ranking number one in Bucks County and UES earning a spot in the top 20 percent in the entire state. This follows suit from this spring, when U.S. News and World Report ranked New Hope-Solebury High School as 15th in the state.

New Hope-Solebury High School received both the PIAA Sportsmanship Award and the SOL Freedom Division Sportsmanship Award, recognized for exemplifying the key attributes of strong sportsmanship including integrity, fair play, and responsibility. 

New Hope-Solebury Middle School was one of only three new Pennsylvania middle schools recently named a Don Eichhorn Schools: School to Watch, recognized for its academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, and organizational structures and processes.

The AASA, the School Superintendents Association, named New Hope-Solebury School District an AASA Learning 2025 Lighthouse System, one of only six districts in the nation recognized this fall. Recognized for curriculum and programming to prepare learners for the future, New Hope-Solebury School District’s innovative methods to meet the needs of the 21st student have led to creative and groundbreaking initiatives including the Career Pathways program which enables students to experience tailored career and educational opportunities. 

Additional recognitions include earning an A+ rating on the Niche School Rating system, noted  in Philadelphia Magazine as the Top Public High Schools in the Pennsylvania Suburbs,  and achieving Gold Status on the College Board’s Advance Placement Honor Roll.

Dr. Charles Lentz, superintendent, was honored by the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) with the prestigious Innovative School Leader Award, which was presented at the PSBA-PASA conference. This award recognizes exceptional leadership in school administration, recognizing those who have demonstrated innovative approaches to driving success within their district, building, or program. Dr. Lentz was commended for his vision and commitment to pushing boundaries in education to foster growth of both students and staff, while building strong connections within the New Hope-Solebury Community.
