New Hope-Solebury School District is proud to announce that its Upper Elementary School (UES) and Middle School have once again earned recognition in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools rankings.
New Hope-Solebury Middle School earned a distinguished ranking, placing #60 out of 2,666 middle schools statewide and among the top 2.3% in Pennsylvania. Among more than 3,500 Pennsylvania elementary schools evaluated, New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School ranked #312 statewide, placing it among the top 9% of elementary schools in Pennsylvania. This marks a notable improvement from its #422 ranking in 2025, moving up 110 places in the statewide rankings.
These recognitions reflect the district’s continued commitment to academic excellence and its dedication to providing students with meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for future success.
“We are proud to see our Upper Elementary School and Middle School recognized once again among Pennsylvania’s top-performing schools,” said Dr. Charles Lentz, superintendent of New Hope-Solebury School District. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our students and staff, the support of our families and community, and the leadership of our principals, Mr. Jesse Brosious and Dr. Erik Pedersen. Together, we remain committed to empowering all learners for a world of possibilities by providing the opportunities and support they need to reach their full potential.”
According to U.S. News & World Report, the annual Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools rankings provide families with an additional resource when evaluating educational options. The 2026 rankings were based on publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education and evaluated student performance on state assessments in mathematics and reading/language arts. The methodology also accounted for student background and achievement in core subjects, with student-teacher ratios used to break ties in overall scores.
The latest honors build on New Hope-Solebury School District’s history of recognition for academic excellence across grade levels and underscore the district’s ongoing commitment to helping every student learn, grow, and reach their full potential. Earlier this year, the New Hope-Solebury High School was ranked #4 in PA by U.S. News and World Report.
